PROGRAMA
Paraninfo is a school in Madrid specialized in teaching Spanish for Foreigners. Thanks to its fine location, with easy access to public transport and for its vast knowledge and experience gained over 30 years, it has been a model in the formation of the language. We are an “Accredited Centre” of the Cervantes Institute which is responsible in spreading the Spanish language worldwide. The accreditation means that this school has passed quality control established by the said Institute. On completion of the course, students receive accredited diplomas. They can enjoy a healthy multi-cultural atmosphere. We offer high quality teaching and excellent language learning. Paraninfo is a member of professional associations: Asociación de Empresarios de escuelas de Español para Extranjeros de Madrid (AEEEM), Federación de Escuelas de Español (FEDELE) and Complies the norms ISO 9001:2000. Paraninfo is supported by ARC (Consumer Protection Society)

DIRECT METHOD The Spanish language course is taught by Spanish teachers with university degrees and there are a maximum of 8 students per group. The entire programme, the teaching method and materials used in the classroom, is based on the fact that the teacher acts as an intermediary between the students and the Spanish language and culture. The Spanish language itself is both the instrument and the object to be learned. Bearing these in mind helps us to apply the adequate methodology and learning strategies.

GENERAL PROGRAMMES ADAPTED TO THE “ COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK FOR LANGUAGES”

Levels

A1 Beginner: No previous knowledge

A2 Elementary: Basic knowledge of the language.

B1 Pre-intermediate: Limited expression

B2 Intermediate: Average comprehension

C1 Upper intermediate: Well developed comprehension and expression.

C2 Advanced: Fluency

Level A1 Phonetic exercises I, vocabulary, introduction of expressions used in daily routine.

Level A2 Phonetic expressions II, improving listening skills, improving the pronunciation, structural exercises and dialogues.

Level B1 New structures, structural exercises, drilling and role plays.

Level B2 More grammar structure, listening comprehension, text analyses.

Level C1 Introduction to more complex structures, reading and text analyses, debates.

Level C2 Advanced aspects of the language, reading, speaking and listening.


· REQUISITOS
Additional activities (for interested students) Day excursions to nearby cities: Ávila, Toledo, Salamanca, Segovia, etc. Museums: El Prado, Reina Sofía, Palacio Real de Madrid, Monasterio del Escorial, La Granja, Aranjuez, etc.… Visits to the old part of Madrid, including typical bars of tapas….

Free access to Internet 20 minutes per day Classes are 55 minutes long.

Registration and Certificates are free

The prices include the course book and Paraninfo’s diploma.

Consultation by e-mail with the teacher for 3 months after the course is finished.

Students willing to take the DELE exam must register at the Institute Cervantes.
